Description

A one-piece hex washer head bolt with a serrated bearing surface, made of medium carbon steel.

A one-piece hex washer head bolt with a serrated bearing surface, made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

Applications / Advantages

Designed for use in applications where loosening forces, such as vibration, are present. After being installed, the serrations grip to the bearing surface so that significantly greater torque is needed to loosen the fastener than to tighten it. Can eliminate the need for a lockwasher or locknut in certain applications.

For use in applications where corrosion resistance is a greater priority than locking strength. These parts are not hardened, so it is important to use only with mating parts of like materials.
